Configuring the My Documents folder
Hello all,
Here's my problem. I have a machine that is in XP SP2 and often knows attacks Virula viruses lack of a better facility. So it is that whenever my pc is attacked, all my documents "My Documents" are deleted formatting the disk. I partitioned and I changed the path of "My Documents" to D. As my documents is the system, if my system still faces problems, reformatting C, my documents in D will also be erased?
Re: Configuring the My Documents folder
No, if you format the partition, data from the D partition will not be affected.
When you reinstall Windows, you should specify in installation that "My Documents" are D, and find all its little . However! But! ... Warning! If your virus has contaminated elements on the partition D, you might reformat soon! The best way to avoid this kind of inconvenience is a good Antivirus Scan of a regular AntiMalWare and a firewall!

Yes, there are also others such as Kaspersky, Avast (Personal edition with key is free), you can also try antivir. Then force your firewall and make very careful to data and devices that come in contact with your system because every time reinstall your OS can be dangerous (eg a crash SD).
