cannot open links in my e-mail or help section in windows Live Mail
I was using Windows Mail as my default email client on Windows Vista earlier. But later switched to Windows Live mail because of a problem. The problem was I was not able to open any URL that I use to receive in message body. The only way to visit that links were to copy the URL from Mail and put it in web browser.
This started happening about a week ago with Windows mail. I tried various troubleshooting to fix it out but was not succeeded. Many people suggested me to upgrade to Windows Live Mail to get rid o this. Well I did the same but now with WLM as well, am getting the same problem.
Whenever I click any URL, it says “Application not found” . Somebody please help me out.
Re: cannot open links in my e-mail or help section in windows Live Mail
The problem is because you haven’t set any default browser or it might have been removed from default access. So go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Default programs.
Here click on Internet Explorer or any other web browser you want and Select “Set Default Program”. Now go back to the software list and do the same for Windows Live mail.
That’s it. Problem will be solved.

Well that is the only solution for that problem as it occurs if there is no default programs associated to open the web URl. But as still you are facing the issue will suggest you restore your system to any previous restore point and see if it helps.
