What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
I wonder what was the difference between the different chipsets. I am going to buy a new motherboard (AM2 +) soon, but I do not understand anything about what is the difference between the chipset? What is best among them?
Looking at AMD has come with a new 790GX that have integrated video card in it, where does it against from the other AMD.
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
AMD 790FX + SB750 and AMD 790GX + SB750 as per today is AMD's top motherboard. 790FX has chopped performance, while the 790GX is an all-in-one-card.
What you choose depends on your application-Do you only use it for simple tasks where gambling is not a very big priority, the 790GX give you the most for your money. Gaming is an important factor and you have as plans to run Crossfire, the 790FX will be the best option.
790GX is a newer motherboard, and thus have full support for AMD's latest Phenom 9950 processor. Some 790FX motherboard also has support for this processor, but it is not all, and you should expect to have to resort to update the BIOS to take the processor in use. 790FX running Crossfire in full 16x16 mode, while the 790GX running Crossfire in 8x8 mode.
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
Do you know which is best chipset that has integrated video card by Nvidia and Intel, so I have something to compare with in relation to AMD 790GX
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
Nvidia has the best cards but come with problems that are common for nForce. If you should have a relatively good integrated solution so it seems that Intel will lose ground to AMD in any case.
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
What is the "lowest" model with AMD motherboard with an integrated sound, networking and graphics? (Which chipset). I am looking for a cheap solution.
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
The 740G chipset is the cheapest variant with everything you need "onboard".
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
Is there any difference in the chip sets in terms of power consumption? What should I go if I should have the most power system mean?
Re: What is the difference between the different chipsets ?
Then go for the easiest / cheapest card.
