ATI Catalyst Driver 8.12 available

ATI has released the new version of its Catalyst driver, came to release 8.12. These drivers implement various innovations among which suggest support for the ATI Stream technology, to use the GPU for processing of GPU Computing, and integration of ATI AVIV Video Converter, utility compatible with Radeon cards Radoen HD 4800 and HD 4600 that allows you to perform the conversion and transcoding of video streams using this in the processing power of the GPU.

- Call of Duty: World at War DX9 - performance gains of up to 21% for Single and Crossfire mode. Performance gains were noticed on all Radeon HD48xx.
- Crysis DX10 - performance gains of up to 25% for Single and Crossfire mode. Performance gains were noticed on all Radeon HD4xxx.
- DX10 Crysis Warhead - performance gains of up to 13% for Single card mode and up to 16% for Crossfire mode. Performance gains were noticed on all Radeon HD4xxx.

I noticed no improvements to fps in GTAIV, which ain't that much of a surprise to me, i got the 4850 X2 1gb card.
I dont expect the patch to improve much either, it would seam that rockstar lost their tuch when they decided to include all this obsolate crap in place of solid gameplay.

Correction, the 3850 card. But even that should be able to run the game with considerable good fps.

Ya i think you are right GTA IV is completely hopeless.
