JoliCloud OS for a future Netbook
Among the most popular gadgets in recent years, the iPhone Apple still appears to modlèle in the mobile phone industry. This year, the industry has largely been marked by strong growth in sales of Netbook. It is betting on those two hits that Tariq Kim, founder of Netvibes, the online personalized home pages, has decided to launch a new market.
Thus, during the first day of the summit LeWeb'08 currently taking place in Paris, Tariq Kim has informally unveiled JoliCloud, an operating system optimized for netBook and largely inspired by the graphical interface of the iPhone. JoliCloud is based on an optimized Linux kernel and presents a browser reviewed in depth. In addition, the system would be compatible with touch screens.
Many aficionados of Apple had tried to conceptualize what would a touch pad developed by the Cupertino firm and obviously JoliCloud, whose output is planned for 2009, is still the system approaches the .
A few days ago, the publisher Good OS LLC also announced GOS Cloud, an operating system for Netbook based on a Linux kernel optimized for a boot almost instantly and would take the form of a Internet browser owner.
Few details were revealed about JoliCloud, but it would be surprising if the system is specially designed for Internet-oriented.

it will be strange in a few years when our children tell us "Tell Dad What is a computer and keyboard?". It will explain that before there was not one tiny machine that fits in your pocket and which is used through a touch interface! But we had phone, MP3 players, computers, GPS ... Finally, many aircraft that do more than make (indeed it has already begun!)

This is surprising: it sure is the right time to try to launch a new OS typed Netbook and Mobile, but I guess this evil OS itself facing Windows, Apple and Linux versions (ubuntu , Mandrake ...) and declination "light"!
