Try to defragment your volume with JkDefrag. That should work. Once done check if your defragmentation still does not start then made a search for viruses etc and if ever made such a check disk.
To solve this problem we must surely begin with a defragmentation or this is possible at that from another software.
But you can always do a chkdsk / f / r to check your disk.
Here are some solutions
- The hard disk is corrupted: make a CheckDisk or open windows explorer> right click on the letter of your hard disk> properties> tools> check the hard disk (check the 2 cases) validate and restart the machine so that the Verification at the next startup.
- The defragmenter can not run because of software running in the background ==> restart in Safe Mode and try defragmenting.
- Check that "Launcher DCOM server process" is active and automatic start:
- "Start" menu> "Run"> enter "services.msc"> click the OK button.
- Select service in the console services> click on their name> checking that the selected startup type is set to "Automatic" and launch the service s''il is inactive by clicking the "Start" button.
- Use a defragmenter other than Windows.
