AMD Athlon XP processor 3200 +
Hello to all,
New in this forum, I hope you can help me to solve a problem, a few days ago a friend gave me a CPU Athlon XP 3200 + for his old PC obsolete dismantled functioning. A processor 400 mhz.
I wish I would have to operate on a motherboard Asus A7N8X X. So I tried to mount and does not go ..... I try them all! But what is most strange that an other motherboard 266 mhz part, but not acknowledged, the bios tells me CPU unidentified. What may be the result?
Thanks to those who give me a hand ....

Re: AMD Athlon XP processor 3200 +
You reset the BIOS? is the first step to do when you change CPU A7N8X X on that ram you? to run correctly the 3200 + you need DDR 400.
PS
The A7N8X X supports barton 3200 + with all bios
PS2
On another hand, the Motherboard CPU is OK
Re: AMD Athlon XP processor 3200 +
Hello, just the first step I reset the bios, both jumpers, that removing the battery for a half hour. Nothing! I like Ram 2 benches 512 MB pc 3200 (ie 400 mhz), I felt alone even for a time, the bios latest release, 1010! But nothing, not even a week ago, I think it is to preclude any problem to the mother, because now is working with a large xp 2400 +. So you say that a CPU can not be burned in half, if it works on card and other post ..... Although not as unknown and 667 mhz?
