Re: help with Computer crashing
Too hard to say if it will solve the problem. But , it sounds like one of the symptoms of a hard drive going bad.Do a quick check of your ram first-just download memtest86 and test from boot. It won't cost anything and you could rule out the ram as well. Some times parts get "weak" connections,...reseat cards and check cables as well.
Re: help with Computer crashing
could you post the tutorial of what too do?? i have two operating systems on it, Vista and XP. i cant even get to the desktop to do a check on ram? what do i do?
your help is much appreciated
Re: help with Computer crashing
download memtest86,....burn it as bootable cd,....bios set to boot from cd,.....put cd in and restart.
memtest will start and run tests. I would let run at least an hour.
If no errors, can 95% rule out ram.
