Re: Hibernation mode problem
Try to save power management in "S3 only" in your bios. Also try uninstalling your video card drivers and restart the computer. Reinstall the drivers again. Could you tell me more about your config also please?
Re: Hibernation mode problem
My config is Dell Latitude D820 (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz, 2GB of RAM, nVidia NVS 110). Vista Business upgrade on XP PRO.
The hibernation was working until few days ago. I will try to change the advanced options (I only have PCI Express and not PCI).
Thank you for ideas.
Re: Hibernation mode problem
1. Make a scandisk: "My Computer" -> right click on the hard drive and select Properties -> Tools -> Check Now -> Check both boxes and launch. It will tell you if you have any problem with your drive.
2. Can be a problem of file configuration: Try to shut down the PC normally, restart and then repeat it again.
Re: Hibernation mode problem
I was also having similar problem about few months ago. Reinstalling Windows Vista solved the issue. I think you should also do the same. You can also try to turn hibernation ON from the command prompt as follows:
Code:
powercfg / hibernate on
