Quake III Arena On S60 Phones
Quake III Arena, which has to be one of the most popolur shoot-em-up games ever, is now available to play on Symbian S60 3rd Edition smartphones.
There are a couple of restrictions that the games will only work on a S60 3rd Edition that has a TI OMAP 2420 processor that give you the option to run the game on a Nokia E90, Nokia N82 and Nokia N95 8GB.

I was a bit of Quake fan years ago and it’s great to be now able to play this on a phone compared to the equipment you needed to have 10 years ago.
The latest version of the software adds a few remarkably awesome extras. For starters, users can now take advantage of on-phone server support, meaning that your handset can actually host a Quake III multiplayer battle. Developer Olli Hinkka has added Bluetooth support for a keyboard and a mouse.

Unfortunately, only the Nokia E90, Nokia N82 and Nokia N95 8GB models are supported. Vanilla N95 owners are out of luck since that handset has not enough RAM. What makes this better is you don't have to take on Xaero by yourself, since you can always hook up with a friend via a network.

This is a technological milestone by itself, considering how Quake III Arena demanded every last drop of performance from your computer back when it was released.
