Going to install Wimax, need information
We will soon install a transmitter WIMAX in my house (tower 18m high). But could anybody explain me about Wimax? Is it stable during bad weather? In short, I need information on this technology, especially when used. So if you use or otherwise have any knowledge about it then your opinions and impressions are welcome.

Look over here. It will explain you who has started or is the founder of WiMAX, on which standard does WiMAX is build, how far can WiMAX extend, etc...

Thank you Rkhon!
Anyway what hurts me is the flow sharing between users of the same station. They will announce 10 megabytes, do you think I still have a good flow
Re: Going to install Wimax, need information
What I know about WiMAX is that it is reliable and quite powerful. To summarize in broad terms, it is sort of long-range WiFi. I have a friend who told me about his installation. He was also having a WiMAX antenna in his building, and he said me that it gets connected while his house is more than 10 km away, behind trees and all. In terms of flows, it completely depends on the equipment and connection used.
Regarding the weather, it works in all weather but if you're already far enough, that there are lots of trees between the antenna and home, and that it is more a storm enormous; then it may be hard to connect I think.
