The temperature does not affect performance but when something gets too hot so it becomes unstable. 85c is all right as long as there is graphic or games because of the crash, which it does not get to do because the cards can do the temperature.
From my experience the performance relates when the computer comes up in temperature. I am acquiring a better cooling on my video card and had a 400-500 point increase in 3D Mark. Get more memory and cooling, it becomes your workstation for a thunder machine :ohyeah:
