μTorrent comes out in beta for Mac OS X
μTorrent BitTorrent client is a known and so popular it was quickly overshadowed the official score. Designed in order to make an application as light as possible, he had not initially intended to integrate a host of functions, but has expanded greatly since its inception. These are months that we know the preparation of a Mac OS X, and here it is now in beta.
It includes all the features or nearly the Windows version, but it will be noted especially that developers have presented a real Mac OS X and not a port done slapdash:
The launch of the application shows that the light was kept, but it will require Mac OS X face the well-known Transmission. The latter is too fast, very simple, and if it does not all features, it has the advantage (for some) to be entirely free. μTorrent is a proprietary software.
μTorrent for Mac OS X can be downloaded from this page.

Hey, I really am looking forward to a utorrent for mac also.. However, for all of you dying of the slow azureus, try out
Transmission
It certainly has some features missing (like the ability to create torrents). But for downloading, it is fast and lightweight!

Re: μTorrent comes out in beta for Mac OS X
In fact I use that here but I am not mac must say ..
Re: μTorrent comes out in beta for Mac OS X
not necessarily.. torrents were originally created so companys or groups can share files across the net to each other at a global scale and faster scale. and its still used today, but more of a discrete way.
Re: μTorrent comes out in beta for Mac OS X
ok, well here are some points off the top of my head.
- utorrent isnt stuffed with excessive amounts of java making the GUI so messy
- utorrent does not hog up all your RAM like how Vuze does
- you can set your settings much more better than Vuze (however the beta doesnt have a lot of options right, but im sure it'll will show up later, cuz the windows version had lots of options for me back then)
