audio card close to the graphics card
Good evening,
I started up my new computer and finds that the audio is very close to the graphics card and hides much of his radiator (including half the fan).
To give you an idea, here are the specs:
- Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme
- Asus P5Q
- HD 4870 (Sapphire)
I am concerned about any worries of overheating of the GC (obstructed ventilation) or the sound card (near the radiator and the GC). I can not shift the lowest sound card (or graphics card above XD). Someone would be equivalent to reassure me? Thank you
Re: audio card close to the graphics card
What is the type of Case to check the details?
Because unless you have a little box broken, it will go well, especially since the 4870 expels hot air outside the case. However, you can test them with software that heat the graphics card with the stability test monitoring Temp software. Worst case of a solution would be to take the sound card because PCI is the pb would not arise. Remember that if you made a purchase in a good shop, you have at least one week (10 to 20 days in) to retract and you request a refund.
Re: audio card close to the graphics card
The case is the ANTEC Sonata II 500 highly recommended here and there.
To the sound card, I think the deadline for the exchange because despite a grouped, the motherboard did not arrive as 2 weeks after the rest.
Re: audio card close to the graphics card
Yes, as it has a 120mm extraction by air it should go well.
For the exchange, indeed, it may not be possible. However, you might ask nothing worse case in explaining the particular case of the motherboard received very late. But the more you trades following receipt of the motherboard, you have less chance than the Shop accepts.
