I've Changed my CPU fan to a noctua 120mm 1300 rpm. But it seems that my motherboard believe that 100% = 2.4 k rpm type, as it was in stock. The reason I think this is that it is always at the max, so I put on in the bios that it would be 60% instead.
After that it was still at 1300 rpm!
2.4 * 0.6 provides that it is aiming at 1.44 k rpm, which I do not want to.
Must be easy to solve? It sounds like an airplane :biggrin:
A typical fan is not PWM-driven as stock cooler = not controllable.
Did you try an ulna cable with the fan?
It may well be an option. With the charge cable allows the fan 1100 Rpm and ulna with cable allows the fan 900 Rpm.
Should go to control the ventilator via the voltage level. Look in the bios for something called "CPU Fan fashion" or similar. You can choose to PWM, or Auto Voltage. It will be on the voltage.
Strange that it spins so quickly, however, because it will make 1300 rpm at 12 volts. Is it faster than it must, then it means that the card is ejecting the higher voltage than 12 V?
I did as per your comments. Can not find the CPU fan fashion, but there seems to be on everything else. Looks like I should have been a reward and an ulna. But I should not be asking if it is only at 1300 rpm for example, 70C CPU?
Sadly, it is simply to switch to 60% at least, and by the bios is 12v around 11.9v ~
