Missing Ethernet connection in Windows Xp
Good evening,
Ever Since I updated the Livebox installed, I Cannot see my Ethernet card in the Control Panel / System and Maintenance / System / Hardware / Device Manager " I am using Windows XP SP3. I have not managed to connect my LiveBox Ethernet to a internet. i tried to test everything including uninstalling and reinstalling from the CD .
How do I find my Ethernet card?
Re: Missing Ethernet connection in Windows Xp
You have to install your Ethernet network driver according to your computer motherboard. You can do this on two ways:
- from another computer that have Internet access than copy it to your
computer that does not have network driver
- from cd installation, find there network driver

Yesterday I Tried everything from doing a restoration, but of No use. Still it cannot Detect my Ethernet network card.I uninstall the old drivers, updated the drivers for my WiFi card. At the first start Windows XP SP3 I have a screen that tells me a network card was detected, but then it again got missing. For other reasons, I formatted my hard disk, reinstall Windows XP SP3 and software. Still no Ethernet connection in the equipment manager. It must be a failure at the motherboard.
Re: Missing Ethernet connection in Windows Xp
Well, at the end it has to be a hardware problem, i have never such kind of ethernet network problem, I suggest you to replace some components on motherboard, starting with network card

Have you checked in the bios that your LAN is enabled Also Try to check using another PCI network card

Thanks for your reply Roland
I will try what you suggest
and
@Marlon
I priorly checked in the BIOS LAN connection: "enable". "Disable" was too simple. i think If I need the LAN connection, I will have to buy a New network adapter.
