Windows Media Player has stopped working
Since September, as soon as I launch a music or movie on WMP (Windows Media Player) two seconds after the start of the software, Vista informs me that it has stop working. I have Windows Vista Business. I did not even installed SP1 because I do not know what is the problem.
Need advice!
Re: Windows Media Player has stopped working
I would suggest you to get VLC because it is very nice and not terribly effective. You can also switch to Media Player Classic, Winamp, etc. They eat very less ram than wmp!
Re: Windows Media Player has stopped working
I have the same version of Vista with SP1 and never had this problems with media player. So I think you should install SP1. Also it may be a worry of codecs, recently installed program, etc
Re: Windows Media Player has stopped working
But its strange that I could not install SP1. I installed all updates through Windows Update but SP1 refuses particularly leaving an error code: 8024200D.
Re: Windows Media Player has stopped working
Apparently, there would be an update before installing SP1.

Update this first and then install SP1.

@ sergioKomic
I have tried VLC player and according to me WMP is easier to play music.
@ Fabian
I am trying your site and will see what happens.
Thanks to all.
