Bizarre VPN Problem
I have a Small Business Server 2003 and 3 VPNs connecting to it. One works fine and the other two do not. All three seem to be set up the same.
The one that works connects and once connected, can ping the server no problem via name and internal IP. The other two can ping via the external IP but not the name nor the internal IP address of the server.
Peachtree will not work through a mapped drive on the two that cannot ping a name.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Bizarre VPN Problem
Have you configured your VPN connection properly? If not (or not sure) then here is a simple guide by Microsoft.
How to configure a connection to a virtual private network (VPN)
As far as Peachtree is concerned Peachtree needs a UNC pointer to access the company file. So add an entry for the IP address to the remote system hosting Peachtree in the client's hosts file and then use a UNC expression to connect to the remote company file.
For example: \\servername\sharename\companyfile

Re: Bizarre VPN Problem
Hi,
If you are using the RRAS on SBS, i wud suggest that you re-configure RRAS on the Server. We can be sure that there are no filters for RRAS connectivity..
