How to Format external Hard Drive
Hi Friends,
I have a 128 GB 2.5-inch SSD Transcend external hard drive that uses fat32. My working system is win XP pro using NTFS,I purchase this also because of read/write speeds of up to 145MB / 92MB per second with support for up to Ultra DMA Mode 5 please guide me how to format external to NTFS, or do need to bother. Problem being I can only backup 4GB using Fat32.
Thanks in Advance
Re: How to Format external Hard Drive
you can have the following forum link, it also has the same issue even though it has some different configuration of their external Hard Drive.

Re: How to Format external Hard Drive
Standard Windows utility that is called CONVERT serves this purpose:
Just go to the Command Prompt and execute the command:
C:\> CONVERT C: /fs:ntfs
Where C: is a name of the drive you want to convert.
After machine re-boot conversion process will start and you'll have your FAT32 converted to NTFS without of data loss.
