Dell 922 Vista
After a computer crash and reinstal of vista I cannot reinstall my dell 922 pirnter (USB). Used the install program and it will install the driver but just stops afterwards. It will not start with the allignment page which is the first thing it normally askes for nor does it instal the utility software. I have tried many of the regular advices given but all with no succes. The printer works ok on another pc. When I try to let Vista instal the drivers it will give an error saying the driver cannot be found although I directed vista to the proper location with the correct driver files downloaded more then once. I'm completely lost, anybody encoutered this same problem.

Thanks for your reply.
I wish it was this easy. This is really a bit more complicated.

Re: Dell 922 Vista
- Disconnect your printer.
- Download and run this patch to completely remove the printer from your computer.
- Restart your computer.
- Download the proper drivers Vista 32-bit Drivers
- Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer. The Dell All-In-One Center is in the drivers package.
Let me know the results.

Re: Dell 922 Vista
@ RoninBlade
What is that patch, why is it required?? Botsproef want to install drivers for that printer Dell 922. I think drivers suggested by you or Tomaz are enough for this :g:

Re: Dell 922 Vista
@ Mentos
The patch works for XP as well as Vista and is like a cleaner to remove drivers. Vista machines won't remove all the drivers from the control panel, so the patch is needed.
@ Botsproef
Do yourself a favor.
Download each item and make a separate folder for each, since you may get confuse what the R numbers are. Put them all in a folder. Then burn them to a disk so you have them when you need them. Easier to find on a disk ;)

Re: Dell 922 Vista
Well, this is one of the first things I have tried but it just does not work.
I think I have tried all of the standard advices up to removing USB devices (which is a funny procedure if you have a usb keyboard and mouse)

Re: Dell 922 Vista
Here is how the device overview looks like after the install attempts. The device (dell aio 922 ...) is not installed as printer but miscelanious device, not what is should be?
Note that it's twice in the list on top and halfway.
