Infected by virus win32.virut.bx
Hello everyone!
This morning I downloaded on Mininova a version of DVD Shrink. Once I had my antivirus which began to panic.He detected a virus named Win3.Virut.Bx. So I'm not a professional computer, I went to see on Google if I find info. But nothing. Is what someone can explain the principle of the virus and could guide me to get rid of. The virus infects seems - t - he executables and my antivirus reported as being quite 'dangerous'.
My configuration:
Windows XP2 Family
Internet Explorer 7
Kaspersky Antivirus 2009
And I also software protection following:
AVG Anti-rootkit
Malvarebyte
AVG anti spyware

Yes it is dangerous: If the system files are affected, windows plant ...
- If you do not as yet done so, uninstall the program infected.
- The infections may impose VIRUTA formatting. Moreover VIRUTA this version is very recent. Copy if you like your important data (documents, photos, videos ...)on an external support. Do not copy especially file. Exe
- If you have already done a full scan with Kaspersky (since kaspersky detected VIRUTA), glue the report obtained. Otherwise, upgrade to Kaspersky and do a full scan of your PC with kaspersky and glue the report in your reply.

I am your instructions. The virus is being scanned. To move the data to what is arguably on a different partition is good. Because I have 2 partitions on my hard drive.

I advise you to save on an external and not on another partition.
