Advice buying motherboard
Good evening
I need advice to buy a motherboard to replace the striker II formula that never work (2 new motherboard: /) I do repay and so I need an advice about my new motherboard.
I am looking for a motherboard reliable, efficient, Quine is not a striker (the CPU INIT curse is on me) and it works with this equipment below for a budget of 200euro.
Power: OCZ 850W
Graphics: GeForce 9800 GT 1gb
Ram : Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX DDR 2
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Disqoue disk: Samsung SpinPoint F1 SATA II 1 TB
Operating System : Vista OS
I thought the Gigabyte GA-x48-DS5 to you to tell me if it is good or advised me better.
Thank you
Re: Advice buying motherboard
Well, since you have a 9800GT, I advise you rather a motherboard Nvidia ... but hey, if you want no SLI anyway, a Gigabyte EP45-DS3R widely enough.

But most of the experts say that a motherboard chipset nVIDIA are not the references of the moment (and even far to be!).
GO for a EP45-DS3R.
Re: Advice buying motherboard
Hi, Personally, I love the Asus P5E not P5E3 ...
2 PCIexpress x38 + x16 chipset sound good.
Re: Advice buying motherboard
Hello,
I have a GA-x48-DS5: D
It is a bit expensive but I find it very very well. Super color system on ports, fast boot and bios easy to handle. Does not heat. Connectors impressive (6 USB ports, 2 digital audio outputs ..)
As against, as I said, it does not support SLI. But it offers good interest on the very high resolutions (24-inch screens) and anyway it heats much.
Re: Advice buying motherboard
Ok thank you for your Responses
I choose to view EP45-DS3R which is after you performance and is the cheapest because I have bought a new heatpipe and other stuff ..
And then to sli .. I do not think I resume a 9800 gt so at worst I will take a radeon and use the crosfire
Again thank you
