SSD Express Card
Hello all,
I just found out it was released in 2007 for the SSD express card up to 32GB.
These seem dedicated disk drives for the operating system, Vista compatible and ready (finally bof not effective this point)
As against I know if someone had tried this performance and what it drew.
I always thought to optimize hard drives of my M571RU-U
Thank you for your help

Re: SSD Express Card
you can expect a performance worthy of an express card slot is better to say 133MB / s when PCI Express x1 (but it is only theoretical!) Or 25 MBit / s if it passes through the USB 2.0, and if you have a DSS behind, it will be the mess ... hmm
In short, it's PCI Express x1, coupled with the USB 2.0 ...
Otherwise, should check the type of your port to see whether history would not have a rate higher ...

Re: SSD Express Card
I can confirm that the Express Card slot Clevo M570RU is in PCIe x1 cable. I have an eSATA adapter Express Card and I outlets 90Mo / s (well above what they would have been if it was through the USB).
Otherwise, if you want a good on SSD Express Card, Mtron will release its model in a few days (maximum 4 weeks). The performances seem to be excellent, 110/110 Mb / s Read / Write (SLC inside), 8 or 16GB capacity (32GB should follow in early 2009).
