Vpn problem

With a friend, trying for months to play through a VPN network created by Hamachi. He has Vista and I have XP . The problem is someone not to join in a game! The 2 PC can not establish contact between them. If it creates a party, I do not see it, and conversely, whatever the game but I get there without problems with other friends.
