What exactly you are trying to burn software, media (DVD, CD)? Could you be more specific?
What software you use to burn??
Normally the speed of burning is increased by updating the firmware in the drive. i dont know if your drive supports a firmware upgrade. other than this, i dont think there is a way to increase speed.
Well, first off: what program are you using to burn a the DVD? secondly, if you're using a program to burn actual DVDs (meaning the program is actually encoding the movie file to MPEG2) then i suggest you stick some kind of flash memory bigger than the file in your machine and let readyboost cache the whole file. I've noticed incredible speed increases when it comes to encoding files and burning stuff when it comes to readyboost. I have a 4gb card in my machine though.
