Multi GPUs Problem
Hi all
Previously I was having intergrated HD 3200 on the Motherboard. Recently I have installed a Radeon HD 3870 into my Gateway GT 5676 Motherborad . I have uninstalled the HD 3200 drivers and deleted the registry with C CIeaner and loaded the 3870 card and drivers. But When I run Device Manager it sees HD 3870 , in System Info it sees HD 3870 ,GPU-Z it sees the HD 3870
BUT Dx Diag sees the old 3200! and C Cleaner lists the 3200
How can make that all sees my HD 3870?

Have you checked to ensure that the onboard graphics are disabled in your BIOS? This should be automatic, but for some reason this is not always the case.

I am unsure of how to set BIOS. I have a Foxconn Bengal RS780G MB (thur Gateway) and Foxconn offers NO Support on this (cheap?) board. BIOS is AmMega Ver. 7B3G1PO4 2/18/08. Please view settings as I now have set them and advise. Thanks for your valuable time. I Know Foxconn/Gateway/ATI should be aiding me with this.
RS-780 Configuretion
a) Internal Graphics Mode - Set to Disabled.
Choices are
1) Disabled, 2) UMA, 3) Side Port, 4) UMA + Sideport
Primary Video Controller - Set to C.
Choices are:
- GFXO-GPP-IGFX-PCI
- GPP-GFXO-IGFX-PCI
- PCI-GFXO-GPP-IGFX
- IGFX-GFXO-GPP-PCI
Advanced PCI/PnP Settings. I have set to:
- Clear NVRAM - NO
- Plug n Play OS? - NO (I use Vista X64 OS)
- PCI Latency Timer - [64]
- Allocate IRQ to PCI VGA - YES
- Palette Snooping - DISABLED
- PCI IDE Busmaster - Enabled
- OffBoard PCI/ISA IDE Card - AUTO

Nope, standard practice. Foxconn and any other manufacturer that makes parts for OEM builders do not support the products; despite who may have made it all support is through the system builder.the only thing that needs to be changed to me is the one I bolded. This is what it says in the manual for my motherboard regarding that setting:
Plug & Play O/S [No]
Note: When set to [No], the BIOS configures all the devices in the system. When set to [Yes] and if you install a Plug and Play operating system, the operating system configures the Plug and Play devices not required for
boot. Configuration options: [No] [Yes]
