how do I view which users are logged on
I’m having SBS 2003 box connected with various users. These users access the server from their Outlook 2003 Microsoft Exchange Server account. Now the problem is the number of users is higher than the license I have. So they need to logging turn by turn on the server. I wanted to know whether there is any way as the administrator being able to see which users are actually logged on at any one time? If yes, please let me know how?
Thank you very much.
Re: how do I view which users are logged on
If I’m not wrong, you are saying that you are in violation of licensing. Isn’t it? The best and obvious solution here is to purchase more licenses. SBS CALs cannot be shared in the manner you suggest.
Re: how do I view which users are logged on
Hello VauGhna, let me you tell you that the CALs wont actually depend on concurrent connections. In case you are using Per User license, a user can logon to multiple clients with only 1 Per User CAL needed. Also it is OK to multi-login with a user account unless there are less than the 75 limit. When you configure the CAL as per user, it only controls the maximum user account including current logged on users and non-logged on users.
You can get more info about the same in the following article:

This seems to have been hijacked and is now about licensing, the question was "how do I view which users are logged on?"
any ideas?
Re: how do I view which users are logged on
In the server management tree, under 'shares', there is an option to 'view connected users'
