Reinstalling XP
Hello,
I have big problems on SD my main . I just installed XP on another HD and I intend to reinstall everything to have a clean configure .But I have a message at the opening as what I have 25 days to register!
The CD is an original
My question: when I want my config be complete copy format with the prior old disc and reinstall everything with an ISO image .Is it likely to be blocked by Microsoft at the time of recopy as this is not the same HD
thank you in advance for your answers

Re: Reinstalling XP
Not very clear your explanation ... but if I understand:
You reinstall XP on another SD and he'll have to activate (25 days remaining) so you do it online or if it does not pass by telephone.
Then once everything is OK you want to make an image (not ISO) and put it on another HD, it is not a problem.
To make the image in question should be used: Ghost or True Image or Paragon Hard disk manager or so

Re: Reinstalling XP
Thank you for your response opaper
excuse for why it was not easy but you understood
can you tell me why not an ISO image?
my friend had a problem on its PC blocked for a password. finally turn with the ISO image, he had previously done with UBUNTU it has recovered its config without any problem!

Re: Reinstalling XP
An ISO image is the image that there is a CD or DVD in order to easily recreate.
With an ISO image it burns a CD / DVD.
To save a partition system and to restore thereafter there is a picture with one of the programs mentioned above.
You can also (probably) do with Linux because there must be the equivalent of these programs on Linux.

Re: Reinstalling XP
I had my backups for Gost
So it would be preferable to use Gost !
If I understood finally restores the ISO image partition
which means if multiple partitions on SD, just will not be saved?
