Retrieve Outlook mails on Vista

My father's laptop died a week ago. Somehow I managed to save the hard drive. My father told me to get his mails back.

Can anyone tell me exactly where should I find the outlook emails? He was running Windows Vista and I can't even work out how to use Vista. No idea were to search for it.

Try searching Outlook.pst on your old drive at the below path.

C:\Documents and Settings\"your logon"\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

You may need to un-hide the hidden files and folders.

Just copy the pst file to your new machine and then from the new installation of outlook, go to Files import and point to the PST file. This will provide you all of the old emails on your new machine.
