How to change the boot sequence in Bios
The purpose of this article is to explain how to change the boot order in the BIOS.
This is to allow, for example, to start the computer on a CD rather than on the hard disk.
Unfortunately, there are several manufacturers of BIOS and each has its way of presenting things :rolleyes2
To simplify the problem, Manufacturers changes their BIOS menus.
Unable to review all the existing BIOS, I will limit myself to 3 marks (AMI, Award and Phoenix) and 2 BIOS versions of each brand.
Notices to owners of laptops:
All laptops that I have seen have specific BIOS, I encourage you to read the entire subject and to adapt what you find on your computer. It is also true for some desktops (including Dell and Fujitsu-Siemens I think).
Important Notice to all:
I recall that randomly change settings in the BIOS may cause the crash of computer. So when in doubt, do not hesitate to ask, the forum is made for this!
Before entering the heart of the matter:
It is increasingly common to find BIOS that can choose when you start the device on which only start this time.
This has the enormous advantage of not having to go around in the BIOS then we want exceptional start to a CD for example.
That is how is this option:

Just press F12 to access a menu that will ask to choose the device =>

We just have to select the desired device and then press ENTER.
I said, manufacturers like to stand out. So it will not always be the key example to access this feature. A sure to watch this first screen when you start the computer to see which key to use.
Those I met: F8, F10, F11, F12
