No video signal, after installing new motherboard
Hello all,
I bought a new motherboard ASUS P5KPL/1600. I installed correctly in the box everything is connected but when I turn on the PC I have no video signal. So I withdraw my PCI cards and I have left the graphics card processor and the fan plugged but I still have nothing. I tested with another processor it does as well as another adapter and a memory card but none of that.
Now that's a detail that threw me off my food is a 650W but I'm only 20 / 4 pins and the motherboard wonder a 24 / 4 pins. is that it makes a big difference?
thank you
Re: No video signal, after installing new motherboard
hello,
when you write "no video signal", it mean that you have nothing on the screen but the fan work, for example?
Otherwise, your question regarding the connection may be the right track
Re: No video signal, after installing new motherboard
Yes indeed, the fan go as well as hard drives and optical drive but nothing in the display. I'm going to a dealer and it has tested except food might not follow in the energize distribute .
Re: No video signal, after installing new motherboard
check all you power connectors are plugged in, 20+4 and the 8 pin
Re: No video signal, after installing new motherboard
Hi,
On a Asus P5AD2, I had the same problem: 20 pins the form of food and 24 pins on the motherboard. I bought the computer mounted, and they simply plugged leaving 4 pins free (the four bottom, if I remember anyway, we do not put the connector otherwise, or the blockage wedging not), and it worked in hair, thereafter, I bought a converter 20 to 24 pins, and it has not changed, while still running as well.
Re: No video signal, after installing new motherboard
the graphics card is an ATI Radeon sapphire hd 3450 pro and it plugs into the PCIe and does not have to supply more. but what is strange is that I have everything on my old motherboard and everything works fine.
