CD/DVD copy problem on Windows XP
I have Windows XP Pro on my computer. It always works slow whenever I try to copy a CD/DVD or make a new CD/DVD. It takes around 1 hour for me to make a copy of any CD/DVD. My friend uses NERO and never faced such kind of issues while copying a CD/DVD. Even I used NERO but the problem didn't disappeared over here.
What could be the reason behind such slow process?
Re: CD/DVD copy problem on Windows XP
According to me, the CD/DVD burning speeds completely depends upon your system configuration; your RAM, software that you are using, its settings, etc. So if you are not getting the same CD/DVD burning speed as your friend than possibly you might be lacking somewhere like insufficient resources available, lesser RAM, need to change some settings on the software you are using.

To increase CD/DVD burning speeds:
On Device Manager, select the channel in which the CD/DVD drive is present under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Right click on it and click on Properties. Go to Advanced Settings tab and then Set the Transfer Mode to DMA If Available. Click OK to save settings and restart the computer.
