Driver for mass-storage controller found, unable to start, unable to install XP
So I have a big problem. I try to restart my computer and starting it says "no drive detected." I try to reinstall Windows XP and it tells me: "Setup has detected no disk drive."
So I can just drive in safe mode.
After some research, I think it's a problem SATA controller (or something similar). I suggested to F6 to install Windows to install the drivers but Windows asks me to put these drivers on a USB drive or external media so that it finds. But I do not know where to find it. I searched contempt I even phoned the support of Sony and they know it.
Here's my computer:
Sony VAIO VGN-FW12G
My hard drive is a ST9250827AS Seagate
Everything is onboard and my motherboard is an Intel Crestline GL960/GM965

The big problem is that since XP would not settle, I temporarily installed Linux (Ubuntu) and I now that Ubuntu and I can not ride this kind of program. In short, I am a little pissed off and I do not know what to do.
I wonder if I should rather try to install Vista? I do not know if I will have the same problem.
