Hot / warm HD box
I have noticed that our HD box from Yousee is hot / warm when it is on standby. Even after an entire night on standby, it is not cold. I will be quite worried that the stands and runs. Is it normal that it does not get quite cold, and should I be afraid of the power consumption?

Re: Hot / warm HD box
Yes, it is unfortunately quite abnormal that they become so hot. I have read several places that standby consumption should be around 19W.
I turn off my when I do not use it.

Re: Hot / warm HD box
Does this mean that you turn over the back of every time you do not use it, so it is completely dead?
Sounds strange that it should be. It may not be the intention.

Re: Hot / warm HD box
Yes, I turn off the whole - but through the power outlet. I turn off due to the large stand-by and not due to the heat. I think the box can withstand the heat although there seems little game that is so hot.
But anyway - then fail your box does not and if you feel like you're just leave it on :)

19 watts in standby!. It sounds game - why is it so high?
How much money we spend annually to have the standing in standby? It can not be true that an HD box to stand here and spend so much in the standby mode

Yes it is a little game. Believe the use all 19 watts to worse so hot.
Think it has anything to do with it is to start if you want to record something. perhaps maybe :)

Re: Hot / warm HD box
Have noticed that the box actually cold when it is turned on (must be faulty blowing?). Incredible that it is soft when it is on standby and cold when it is switched on.
In keeping it together???
