Windows XP strange error messages
I have Windows XP operating system on my computer. Recently my computer had frozen unnecessarily. I tried many things but neither of them worked at all. Yesterday, when I again started my computer for some other trick, it had given me a screen along with about 10-15 similar messages as below:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system 32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system 32\Drivers\NDIS.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system 32\Drivers\Mup.sys
.....
I tried to go into safe mode for system restore but that didn't worked either. Computer keeps rebooting and showing me the above errors. How do I get it to work?
Re: Windows XP strange error messages
Boot into the recovery console and try using the "bootcfg/rebuild" command. Look here for any guidance. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q291980/
Re: Windows XP strange error messages
Put your Windows XP CD in the drive and follow the steps to repair Windows. It will delete Windows from the hard drive and reinstall it with out deleting any of your information.
