Motherboard 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0 + E6600, How?
Hello all,
I come on your forum to find out if you know how to overclock this motherboard with processor .
I just buy a processor Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 / 2.4 GHz (1066MHz) " .
Apparently this "E6600" has a good potential for overclocking.
Could you tell me how to get there?

- A graphics card " ati HD 3850 AGP (512MB DDR3)."
- Motherboard 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0, ASROCK.
- 2 hard drives (1 Sata (500GB) + 1 Ide (300GB)).
- PSU Tagan 700W.

Whether you take a E6600 or Q6600 .. there is not much potential for overclocking on a 4coredual SATA2 or VSTA ... the cause of the FSB in 1066. I had a E4400 and I was riding a 2.90 GHz because the bus home to 800 mhz. but when you take a bus home in 1066 .. it will remain a mere 200 MHz of overclocking .. may be 400 max!. The wall is about a 290 bus or certainty on 300 .. you've just mounted the bus and put the PCI-e and a pci async .. in bios .. go slowly and you find your max fairly quickly .. TU is better with a motherboard that supports the 1333 and CPU roll of 1066 for a overclock above 3.3 ghz

ASRock is a very good brand name for use everyday. As for overclocking, it is far from the best. This mark is just to compete cards low-end and midrange. For a motherboard operational performance and relatively simple to use.

Hi,I read everywhere that it was easy to overclock a "E6600" with an FSB of 1066, as the cards "Asus P5B deluxe" which has the bus max 1066

Because this motherboard was originally made for 533MHz bus then mount it on a 800 MHz bus .. .. overclocking in 1066 .. therefore very difficult to climb higher than 1200 MHz bus ... 9x 290 = 2616 MHz max on this. It is better to find a CPU with a multiplier of more than 10 if you want on a 4 coredual VSTA or SATA2 .. because the multiplier will help you climb a frequency relative ease ... I bought a Q6700 because I keep my multiplier 10 instead of 9 for a Q6600 .. my old E4400 is better for the card .. with a 10 x 280 = 2800 mhz .. So you always more with my CPU traveling with a slower bus .. and do not forget to calculate the multiplier before buying!
