Problem setting bluetooth on laptop
I am trying to setup bluetooth on my laptop (came pre-installed) and connect it to my new mobile with bluetooth so i installed activesnyc but had no luck finding the device. After checking the help, I followed the instructions and set the computer to discoverable and added a comm port. I got two error messages!
The bluetooth radio is not currently plugged in (when adding comm port)
and
error occured while saving your settings: settings not saved discoverability settings connection settings
There is also nothing in the Devices and hardware tabs, is this normal?
Or does it mean I'm missing some vital bluetooth hardware?
Re: Problem setting bluetooth on laptop
Did you turn on the bluetooth in the laptop?
Some laptops do have a switch or a function key or some software that enables
bluetooth. Check your laptop manufacturer's manual for guidance.

I do admit I did forget about that switch, but still I am getting the same error messages.
Re: Problem setting bluetooth on laptop
Install the bluetooth stack CD from the laptop's bluetooth chip. Then with no COM ports set on mobile device, the software will be able to recognize "activesync" on mobile device.
