Hi,
I downloaded a movie and it is in parts as:
movie.avi.001
movie.avi.002
etc..
Firstly, I spent hours trying to unrar, then winace then winzip, then I thought what the heck and removed the .001from the 1st file and tried in media player and it worked, but none of the other parts will play with a "cannot render file" error.
What do i need to do to play the full movie, does it require "joining", and what exactly is this format, as i have never come across it before.

Was it via an email/news client? Such as Outlook express?
If so, then "combine and decode". Hi-light all the files in correct order -
Place cursor on first file and RIGHT click.
Select "combine and decode" from the menu.
Note: It is important that you have ALL the files that make up the complete movie - if you downloaded from a binaries group, they should be donated as:
001/125, 002/125, 003/125 etc etc so you must have ALL 125 parts before you start, And you MUST sort into numerical order before combining.
