Lost important mail in junk e-mail folder. Can I retrieve it?
I have configured my few POP3 accounts with Windows Live mail on Vista computer. As I use to get more than 150 JUNK mails daily I now just right click the junk folder and delete it directly without checking what is there. Yesterday I did the same and later came to know that there were few very important mails that by mistakenly moved to junk and I delete them.
Later I went to check if it is present in the web based client but I guess it got deleted from there also as it was the POP3 setup. Can anyone please suggest me how can I recover it?
Re: Lost important mail in junk e-mail folder. Can I retrieve it?
As far as I know every folder under Windows Live use to have its own 'current view' setting. Did you tried changing the view and check? You must do it because Junk folder was inadvertently set to "Hide Read Messages. Open the Junk E-mail folder, then change your 'current view' to "Show All Messages". Hope you get some help.

Thanks for the help buddy but I have tried that already. However as you suggested I tried doing it again but yet the same thing. I cannot find those deleted emails anywhere. Any thing else?

If you have tried changing current view in both Junk and Deleted folders to "Show All Messages" and still not able to find the mail, than probably its gone forever. But still you can give it a try by searching it in the Start Search box by any phrase of the mail and see if you get it.
