Unable to overlock my HP processor

I seek first of all your indulgence as I am novice in this field!
I have InteCoreDuo E4400 processor at 2 Gz. I want a little boost this frequency, for the more possible. I can best performance in assembling high-definition videos with ad hoc software (Pinnacle Studio12). I read some posts on overclocking and I discovered that 2 software - SetFSB and ClockGen - to change the frequency. I also noted the ICS code of my motherboard (ie 954,141 CFLF ICS).

I first tried with SetFSB: ICS my code appears in the database, but the slides arrows to change the frequency remain hopelessly gray and inactive. So I closed on ClockGen Here, unfortunately my code ICS is not included in the choices offered. I did a test with the code approaching, namely 954,148, and by adjusting the frequency at 2.25 Gz. As soon as I validated this new value my PC crashed and I was forced to stop manually. Restarting has not been a problem (whew).

What can I do please help me, Thank you in advance for your help.

To overclock, it is important to go through the bios by software. Go to the bios (delete key at startup) and look in the section dedicated to the processor and see if you can change the FSB or multiplier Coeff. So there you will already come to know if overclocking is possible.

As indicated in my HP NB I already tried with the BIOS, but it is impossible to overclock. Thank you for your response

I will remain with my 2 Gz .... until better days where I could replace my PC
