Dell Creator Software Manager
Recently I bought a new Dell laptop that came pre-installed with Windows XP SP3. Today I saw a pop notification regarding some critical update for Dell Creator Software Manager. As I don’t wanted to update the same I simply ignored it. But since then I found a new icon in my system tray named Software Manager. I’m not able to remove it from there.
I tried searching dell forums, google and many other websites regarding the same but dint found anything helpful. Could you guys provide any help about this?
Re: Dell Creator Software Manager
Dell Creator Software is an builtin program installed by Dell and the pop you received is most likely an important update for the same. So you must install the update. Also, by clicking the system tray icon are you not getting any update option? If yes, simply update the same. RE: Dell Creator Software Manager
Hey guys, Dell Creator Software is actually a Macrovisions "InstallShield" that comes preloaded in every Dell system in order to install multimedia and other software over the web. Unfortunately it wont come with an uninstaller. So if yu want you can give a try searching for uninstaller on internet and see if you find any.

Now it's 2010 and I just got the same message.
My security (Trend Microsystems) indicated that the site was malicious.
