I am using Windows Vista Enterprise edition. I had bought a volume licensing CD. With this I can install Vista to many systems. Now I want to create a test environment through virtualization. I am using Windows Vista Enterprise on the system where Vmware is installed. On that I want to install Vista Home Basic. But it looks that it is not accepting the product key. I am not able to activate the same. I want to add Vista Home Basic on the virtual environment. Any available solutions that work.
There can be some issue with registration. And still you would be able to activate the same with existing package. You must contact Microsoft for activating the same. There might be some way to do the same. If this work does not work then it is much better if you simply get a new license key or test the same in trail period.
It is better if you buy a license. Because I think it will be complicated to activate to the same through volume license. For testing you can stick with the trail to use for a month.
