cannot login because the domain not available
I am having a Windows XP pro computer which is connected to a domain. Today morning when I started this system it forced me to run CHKDSK. Well, I did the same and after that system rebooted itself. Later when it came back I was not able to select the domain on Login Page. That’s fine but when type in my usual login username and password it gives me an error message saying “Cannot login because the domain not available."
I don’t have any idea of fixing this problem. Request you guys to please help me fixing this out. Thank you.
Re: cannot login because the domain not available
Can you tell if you were connected to Domain earlier and are you getting the classic login window when you press Ctrl+Alt+Del? If yes, than there would be an Option button on the login window. Just click the same and you will get option to select your domain.
If you are not able to login with your XPs local username and password, than just login with the default built-in Administrator account. Type ‘Administrator’ in the username field and leave the password blank. Press Enter.
Re: cannot login because the domain not available
Thanks for the reply friend, I already checked that Option button but it only gives me option to shutdown. There is no domain selection. Any other solution please?
