I purchased a laptop MSI GX620 a great beast only after 2 weeks I no longer toleratesvista.
So I tried to put windows XP but the problem is that whatever CD I use , I boot from the CD and after a certain time, blue screen.
From what I understand this is a problem of hard drive but I would not be surprised if either vista blocked on the disc.
Help me please
XP can not handle AHCI mode, technology used on all the latest machines.
You must therefore seek the XP driver for your hard drive (if any) or turn off AHCI BIOS (if possible).
Then, you must load the driver disk at boot time (not always) or modify the CD image to include the pilot.
Moreover, given the machine, you lose performance with XP, but it is your life.
So I can change the AHCI but I change it to what? Memory ago IDE and another. Otherwise you really think that xp will slow down? because at the moment vista is still very slow.
XP not slow down. But not accelerate.
Your Vista is slow because a lot of programs are installed by default, or launch at startup .
