Pendrive doesn't run vcd format on my dvd player

Hey i have a dvd player with USB port.when i connect my pendrive with dvd player,it plays mp3,jpeg,divx format smoothly but when it comes to vcd format(AVSEQ01.dat) it doesn't run on player.
can anyone tell me how can i play vcd format in my dvd player ?

Convert your VCD file into to mp4 video, because most DVD player that has USB port supports only mp4 video.

Normally dvd player takes time to read vcd format from pendrive,connect your pendrive with your dvd player, your player would take about 2 minutes of time to read it,then it will surely play vcd.
