Elpida and Buffalo Release Prototype DDR3 2400 MHz Memory
The U.S. manufacturer Buffalo pushes even more limits being the first to announce strips DDR3 capable of operating at 2400 MHz. These prototype DDR3-2400 modules have a capacity of 1 GB chips and use the Japanese manufacturer Elpida, reaching a rate of 2.5 Gbps when they operate at 1.5 volts.
These bars reach 2 096 MHz under the standard voltage of 1.5 volts, they adopt in these conditions timings of 9-10-9-24. By pushing the voltage to 2.1 volts, they climb to 2 400 MHz with timings of 11-11-11-34.
The date of availability and prices of these modules PC3-19200 were not disclosed.
