remote web workplace rww stops working connect to remote computer
I’m using SBS 2008 since past few months and have some problem with Remote Web Workplace. It only works with exception of connect to client desktop. I’m able to connect to local pcs only if I reboot the server but I don’t want to do this as company gets download for about 30 minutes everytime I reboot the server. Alternatively I download portqryui and checked port 4125 for tcp/udp connections which shows some problem.
Somebody suggested me to run iisreset, well I did it but no success, even there is nothing in the applications log. Any idea what is going wrong? Can anybody please tell me what can I do to connect my client workstations via RWW without rebooting? Thanks in advance.
Re: remote web workplace rww stops working connect to remote computer
Hello Dharuna, well I’ll suggest you do better download the update from the following KB and then run a scan with the SBS 2003 BPA. Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 Best Practices Analyzer http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/d...displaylang=en. See if it fixes the problem of your network. It will be good if you can post back the ip config results
Furthermore you can also go through the steps provided in this KB describing “Users cannot connect to remote desktops by using the Windows Small Business Server 2003 Remote Web Workplace” http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886209

RE: remote web workplace rww stops working connect to remote computer
There are few troubleshoots which I want you to go through. They are as follows:
- First of all check all firewalls you have installed on your SBS server as well as on the clients.
- Open up IIS console and recheck RWW virutual directory configurations, especially authentications settings.
- Follow the steps provided in this Microsoft KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886209/en-us
- And finally try changing RWW port from 4125 to 4150 and see if it works.
