I want to embed a text file in my desktop. A simple to do list as it looks like, but i have tried many applications for this and none of them worked the way i want.
I found this article which relates to this topic from lifehacker. read this article and found that it requires Active Desktop. But Vista no longer has it.
It is basically a text file that has a little button for edit. Its perfect. Is there something that i can work around with or something else?
I am looking for something that will be really simple. I can pop those out from the sidebar which is decent, but then I have an empty sidebar blocking the right half of my tiny laptop screen.
Fair enough although you do realise you don't actually need the sidebar displaying as you can hide it and still have the pad on your desktop behind all your windows.
I couldn't figure out how to do that. And, I don't really like the little note pad. It has a very limited number of lines.
I found a program called Samurize that does CPU monitoring and stuff. But it also lets you embed a text file on your desktop.
If anyone is curious. Samurize worked pretty good.
