I am facing a strange problem from quiet a long time (about past one month), my desktop background doesn't change any more. Tried several options and also googled it a lot but none of them work. Is there any guide or tutorial or any tips online that can help me to fix this issue?
This is the problem of spyware which persists even after removing the spyware and doesn't allows the users to change the background.
Go to Registry editor -> Search HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
"Wallpaper" = SZ:C:\WINDOWS\desktop.html (depends on every computer)
and click on the entry one time -> Press Delete button on the keyboard -> Click Yes and close the Registry editor
Go to Start -> Run and type gpedit.msc
User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Display -> Disable Prevent changing wallpaper

Right click empty area on your desktop, select Properties. Go to Desktop tab and click Customize Desktop. Go to Web tab and ensure that Privacy Protection is un-tick. Finally, click OK and then Apply
