I have problem with Outlook from couple of days ago. Whenever I close Outlook and go to Task Manager to see what all programs are running, I can still see OUTLOOK running. These happens every time to me and I am forced to close it there using End Process. What is the problem with my Outlook and how can I fix this?
Seems to be a bug in outlook. Try to find the solution on Microsoft site or contact them and see if they have any solutions for this.
This might be the problem of settings that is made in Outlook.
Open Outlook -> Tools -> Options -> Other tab and uncheck "Enable instant messaging in Microsoft Outlook".

There maybe some Add-ins which are enabled or checked. Disable or uncheck them and see if it solves your issue.
Open Outlook -> Tools -> Options -> Other tab and click on Advanced Options -> Click on COM Add ins box -> Uncheck all add-ins and finally Close outlook
Restart Outlook once again (but remember to end process before restarting). I am sure your problem would be solved because it solved my fathers problem too.
